That color is amazing. In one photo it even looks like there is a stiff little hair right above the left eye! What great shots.

Beauty of the minuscule green gold beetle.
@ Ice Swimmer, this one is not so minuscule. It is almost 3 cm big, so I guess it is huge by beetle standards. These are fierce predators, they prawl the grass jungle (mostly in the night) and devour prey even bigger than themselves.
