It’s the Latvian potatoes. They are almost as nasty as peas, but, crucially, easier to control. The potatoes are corralled, ground up (shot first if your are feeling mean), allowed to moulder awhile in horse-infested areas, and after being eaten and expelled a few times by the horses, thrown away, typically buried in deep volcanic pits. All that effort means the flowering plants are left alone, so they can get on with the flowering and bee p0rn.
The snowdrops really look like melting snow. And behind them a dog cloud.
I have always loved the spring bulbs, thanks for sharing rq. Too bad that rabbits also really enjoy crocus. I’ve got white bloodroot and blue scilla popping up under my yellow blooming Cornus mas, and the warm sunshine has woken the mason bees from hibernation. That white flower is a relative of snowdrops Galanthus, called spring/summer snowflake. Leucojum . Appropriately, it’s Latin name is a Greek compound word that translates as ‘white violet’.
