gosh I love admiring all the European architectural styles.
I love architecture shots, makes me wish I was there in person though. I could stare at those buildings for hours.
And we often walk past it without even noticing.
Giliell, everyone does that, no matter where you live. Things become background noise. I remember staring at one photo once, for the longest time -- I don’t remember the location, but people were walking past the most stunning building, with amazing statues built into the facade, absolutely massive ones, but the people walking by were either looking down, or looking at their phones, what have you. It’s all in what you get used to.

Looks to me like a big, juicy earthworm.
Sort of a flip-side to @4, When I visited Praha back in the mid-1990s, I arrived very early in the morning on the overnight train from Krakow. Something like 5am (ugh!)!! After checking my luggage at the station, I wondered off on a foot self-tour… And wound up being the only(?) visitor watching the Astronomical Clock (it’s frequently crowded), and then being the only person on Charles Bridge (which is nearly always jam-packed). Upshot is I got a clear view and undisturbed sound of the clock, and a change to leisurely examine the statues on the bridge…
Come to think of it, in the Louvre, in the room with the Mona Lisa, ignore that painting and the noisy crowds besieging it, and spend time examining all the other Leonardo paintings… There’s some real gems there, almost totally ignored, and much much easier to see and study.
