Finally got moved, back in Oglala camp, listened to various speakers and singers this morning, and while standing in line for lunch. Robby Romero sang again, and a Native Hawaiian with an electric ukulele, and Joan Baez. Oh, the one photo is of the sage, cedar, and cansasa (chahn shah shah, tobacco, inner bark of red willow), for prayers and offerings. Heading back to the council area.

Amen. I recall her from my college days with all the protest music. And Pffft says she will be in Milwaukee and Chicago next month, so she’s still performing.

Whoa, wow.
Hope that at least the days remain warm and rainfew for as long as possible into the coming winter!

First freeze hit last night, coooooold. Last night, the man who owns the gym in Ft. Yates said he’d open it up to anyone who was too cold out in their tent. Wood is the biggest need here right now. We’ll be bringing wood in next week. We’re trying to warm up right now, before we head into the council area, it’s cold out today, too, but the wind has died, which really helps. It was crazy windy yesterday, so serious cold. Everyone was shivering, and the area around the council fire was really crowded.

Quiet day here.

Wishing you warmth… I wish I could send wood but can’t. :-( It is cold here too. We are at 7500′ but I know your winters are far colder than ours.
