From Lofty:
1. Pink gums next to a brand new bike path 2. Old metal gate drunkenly hanging on from when there were sheep yards. 3. Ancient gum tree where the oldest wood is long since eaten away. 4. Onkaparinga Wetlands, filled for the first time in many years.

Thanks for that. It’s not _quite_ across the road from us, but it’s pretty close. (We’re now living on the Morphett Vale side of Beach Road.)
Might get husband-daughter-tiny granddaughter interested in an outing one day.

mostlymarvelous, I love cycling down to the wetlands, lots of different trails suitable for all types of ramblers, then I ride down to Seaford Station and take the train back to town. There are some smaller but equally interesting wetlands on the creek lines eastwards from Morphett Vale too. You can even follow some of the creek trails under South Rd on foot or by bike.
