Kestrel is an incredibly talented and skilled artist, who not only makes full miniature tack, also makes jewelry, and braids horsehair. I have worked with human hair, exactly one time, embroidered a bit with it, and it is the devil to work with, to say the least. Everything Kestrel does is so beautiful and polished. Stunning work. Today is a look at some miniature tack. Click for full size.

I made a bag-tie out of some of my horse’s tail hair, with end bobbles from my dog’s ruffs. The horsehair was reqlly hard for my fat fingers — my brain is going “tiiiilt” just looking at that!!!
The saddles are pretty crazy too. Exwife was a saddler (mostly western) who did tooled saddles. So I have a vague idea how much work I’m looking at there. Wow, wow, Wow!

The horse is so clean! :) I thought horses were leather bags full of dirt and fart.

@Marcus: One of the appealing things about the model horse hobby. They don’t kick or bite, eat pretty much nothing, and hold really, really still when you want to take a photo. :-)
