Aw, thanks. I don’t need to tell you how much luck factors in. I don’t know about your birds, but mine are burning through the suet.

Mine were burning through the suet a few weeks back, but have now tapered off a bit. I have a huge block I hang from a tree they were eating that up in less than a week and the small block (like in these pictures) would only last half a day. Now I’m getting more than a week from the large block and the small ones last all day, and sometimes into the second day a bit.
At the moment they really like the dried meal worms. And, as always, the peanuts. Always the peanuts! ;-)

Just out of the shower. He looks so happy to have found a nice fresh block of suet.
You’ve had a really great run of bird pictures recently.

Oh gods, yes, the peanuts.
Right now, mine are going through 6 small cakes a day. I’m down to one box left, gotta get more.
Kengi says
Yeah, if it weren’t for the peanuts I’d be going through a lot more suet myself.

So cute! I think nuthatches (in general) are some of the cutest birds out there -- hadn’t seen a white-breasted one yet, though. Cute!
