With any luck our recent mild weather will continue and all the camellia bushes will go beserk. There are absolutely tons of buds this season, the warmest autumn on record for the region.

The rarely-photographed (for good reason) camerivore ! A nice sequence showing it luring the approaching camera, turning snarling and opening wide, and then about to bite.
The bees are getting right intimate with the hot pink camellias this morning. The white camellias look like they’ll be flowering within the month too.
