Yeah! I’m jealous. I’ve seen a few Orioles here, but haven’t been able to capture one yet.
They nest in the trees around our house. Can’t really see any yet (maybe due to the leaves, maybe haven’t built them yet), but later in the year as the leaves fall their hanging nests become visible.
If you zoom in on her eyeball you can see the reflection of an orange half she was about to jump down to. Oranges. Yum!
Forgot to buy oranges at the store this morning and used my last orange on the feeder as well. Guess I’ll have to make another trip today. Good excuse for going out for lunch.
I’m down to my last orange here. The Fox Squirrels are fond of oranges, so there is constant thievery going on.
The rats are playing jokes on you. They climb into two Oriole puppets, wait for you to spot one, and as soon as you do, the other distracts you allowing the first one to “Run away! Run away!” Only to come back and do the distracting so the other can do the “Run away! Run away!” Repeat until everyone is laughing so hard the peas are aroused, then everyone does the “Run away! Run away!”
Well, stop stealing their oranges then!a
