Did I actually hear a Christian (the minister being interviewed) admit that he could understand why his position sounded bigoted? There’s no hope for Christianity as an institution, especially if it continues to insist on the bigotry, but maybe there’s hope for the individuals within it if they can recognize that bigotry.
And Bryan Fischer, with his “one day they’re gonna make us wear a mark on our sleeve!”- I wouldn’t worry so much about a mark others might put on you when you spend hours every day on a frickin’ radio show putting marks on others. The only mark anyone will ever make you wear is the one you so proudly put on yourself- “hateful bigot.”
