Maybe “bitch slapping” is too strong, but Romney is getting schooled

Mitt Romney is getting his ass kicked on this Bain thing. Bad enough that I expect at least an attempted Rovian Nat’l Guard Rather-esque ratfucking op before long:

TPM — This is ‘bitch slap’ politics played with a gusto and coldness seldom seen from Democrats, at least since the Bill Clinton days. Asking for an apology is losing. Saying you want something you clearly have no power to get is losing.

Trying to explain that you were CEO, President, sole shareholder, and paid way more than most people make in a year for all that, but not really in charge of anything and definitely not working there, is losing.

Just in case anyone goes wobbly, Josh also links to a swiftboat piece just to remind us how rotten these evil fuckers were back in the day. Claims of cowardice and made up heroics which, unlike those leveled at Romney, there was zero evidence for then or now. Speaking of Kerry, I recall lots of elite-bashing and funny jokes about him speaking French.

“Bitch slapping” isn’t too strong, it’s just deeply and truly misogynic and should not be used ever.

I also don’t think it conveys the meaning you want to express.

He hasn’t been “schooled” until he’s been held down and given a haircut.

R-money is to the republican’t party in 2012 what Michael Dukakis was in 1980.

A milquetoast compromise candidate not supported within his own party, and disliked even more outside of it.

And this nonsense of “I wasn’t a CEO when I was” makes R-money look like he’s riding around in a tank.

Republicans are like that. When Dole was a war hero and Clinton didn’t go, that was a major issue. When Gore or Kerry went to war and Bush stayed home, occassionally showing up for the National Guard was good enough.

Now being an French-speaking elitist who avoided all military service is perfectly acceptable because being a Mormon is not as bad as being accused of being a Muslim. Or something like that.

I just want to take the opportunity to agree with Gnumann @1: “bitch slap” is a misogynistic term with implications of domestic abuse. It’s not something that should be used, much as I’m enjoying watching Romney get his ass kicked.

One would think that, his having spent so much time in France evangelising, his accent would be a bit better.

Bitch slapping, as in that’s what Josh used in his article that I linked … or perhaps facts don’t matter to you, you just saw a header and went off in anger without bothering to figure out what was up … didn’t you Ibis? … heh, I think you’re busted.

Typos suck, if computers are so gosh darn smart why don’t they fix that?

    Ah, but they do.
