When we women in the East are learning from the Western feminists how to fight for our rights and freedom, opposing patriarchy and misogyny, breaking the age-old shackles, denying to be dependent on men, to be a slave of men, to be a cook, a cleaner, a care taker, refusing to be a child producing machine, to do chores and child care alone, wanting to go out of the house, to take a job, to become financially independent, and hoping to live with dignity and honour — Western liberated women have decided to go back to the dark ages, to be a full-time housewife, to make domesticity their career.

Feminism is about choice, isn’t it? My mother was a stay-at-home mom when she thought it was necessary, and worked outside the home when she felt the time was right. She could have at any time, and did at one time, hire help to look after me and my brothers so she could go to work. We weren’t a particularly liberated family; in fact my father was a European immigrant and wasn’t terribly happy with my mother’s decision to work, but he put up with it and we didn’t suffer. The main lesson I learned was that women can be what they want.
That said, that so-called “feminist housewife” blog creeps me out too.

She’s clearly not a feminist. When the article goes into her “beliefs,” she spouts a bunch of sexist garbage.
Giliell, professional cynic says
Well, you can be a feminist, and you can be a housewife.
But you can’t be a feminist housewife and proclaim that every household neeeeeds a SAHP and that this is naturally women.
The point with many of the “traditionally female” stuff is that you need to be free to say “no” so you can actually say “yes”. The question remains how “free” you are to choose, when even in the west you get a fuckload of shit for deciding against being a SAHM.

Perfect example of “I chose my choice!” faux feminism.
Eristae says
WTF? Where I live, $75,000 to $100,000 a year is affluent. Where the hell are these people that that kind of income isn’t affluent?
Also, what Giliell said. You can be a feminist and a SAHM, but you can’t be a feminist and say that all women should be SAHMs.

She is not a feminist, She act like for famous one.
