First Word: Idiot

Caine, over at Affinity [affinity] has some terminology statistics about Trump.

idiot 39
incompetent 31
liar 30
leader 25
unqualified 25
president 22
strong 21
businessman 18
ignorant 16
egotistical 15
asshole 13
stupid 13
arrogant 12
trying 12

Being a metrics wonk, I was wondering how we could see, over time, what people have been thinking. I don’t think that google search words are a good proxy, but they’re a fun proxy, so without further ado, here are some results from Google Trends [goog]:

Look at the blip on “Trump President” around April 1, 2011. What is April 1? Yeah: April Fool’s day. Don’t you wish you could get in your retro-scopic chronosynchrotron and go back there and hand out a few presuppositional slappings?

The number of searches for “is trump on drugs” appears to be far less consistent than “is trump crazy?” but “is trump an idiot?” is in the running.
Note: in the interest of proper metrics, I want to bring to your attention that between the 1st chart and the second chart, I changed the time-span. That has an effect on how the data-set is rendered; I’m not trying to cheat anyone by manipulating the rendering. This is not pretending to be science.

In fairness, I should have compared “trump lies” with “trump honest” but I just thought “tells it like it is” would be funnier. And, it is.

Like Trump, google just tells it like it is.
