Well, the grand jury indictments are in and a single officer is being charged with three counts of “Wanton Endangerment” because his bullets penetrated through the dry wall of Breonna Taylor’s apartment, burst through the drywall on the other side, and trespassed in an apartment not belonging to Taylor.
Let’s be absolutely clear here: not one of the Wanton Endangerment charges has been levied for endangering Taylor or her boyfriend.
- No charges were laid for the first bullet that penetrated Breonna Taylor’s body.
- No charges were laid for the second bullet that penetrated Breonna Taylor’s body.
- No charges were laid for the third bullet that penetrated Breonna Taylor’s body.
- No charges were laid for the fourth bullet that penetrated Breonna Taylor’s body.
- No charges were laid for the fifth bullet that penetrated Breonna Taylor’s body.
No charges were laid for harming Breonna Taylor, and certainly no charges were laid for killing her. When the state seeks vindication of justice through the criminal court system, Breonna Taylor’s life will not matter at all. Not the tiniest bit. The trial will likely preclude any mention of her death as “prejudicial” and therefore contrary to the interests of justice.
Yes, you read that right: a black woman has been killed, and Kentucky almost certainly will consider it contrary to the interests of justice to mention that killing.

As I saw it noted, she is not listed as a victim. The papers were written to pretend that she wasn’t even there.
I bet they’d hold people accountable if they BURN THE FUCKING CITY.
The police have been pushing for less and less accountability for decades. If this is how they use that latitude, they don’t deserve a union. Every cop in that city should be sent packing. This is me being generous and level headed, which nobody is obliged to be in a situation like this. How in the fuck is it OK to storm somebody’s home, instantly murder them, and then stroll?
Even if she was literally coked to the gills and had a knife in her teeth (which I’m sure nine out of ten people who get murdered like this are not), how would that be excusable? It’s death by firing squad, no charges no trial, not even the decency to give most of the guys blanks so they don’t know who had the bullet that did the deed. They were all perfectly cool with assassinating somebody they didn’t know shit about over nothing. Humans matter less to these fucking pigs than dogs do.
