While I don’t endorse the previous treatment of Bahais in Indonesia, neither am I encouraged by the addition of another officially recognized religion. Such action moves some people from an unprivileged to a privileged position but why should such privilege exist at all? The number of officially recognized religions should not be increased but rather just reduced to zero.
