It’s beautiful, but it’s authoritarian and therefore it does nothing for me. It needs to explain why the union makes us strong and how it will not fall into error like other forms of power do. In principle, I agree with Seeger, but when I used to march in the 70s, and people sung those songs, I dismissed them as simplistic sloganeering idiots. I still do.
