I’m currently in the Indy airport waiting for my flight to San Francisco. I’ve finally been able to keep food down, so my flight should be much more bearable than imagined (if you have no idea what I’m talking about, you haven’t been following my TMI tweets).
Because I spent the last couple of days tossing my cookies instead of blogging, I don’t have any material prepared for my trip to Stanford. So consider this an open post! Post links, selfishly self promote, talk abou what’s on your mind, and get to know each other! And for all you lurkers, say hello!
Hey peeps, I'm attending the CFI Student Leadership Conference this Friday and have to lead a discussion on attracting members. What are some important points to cover?

Shameless self promotion here, I am currently reading through Chuck Colson's book The Faith on my blog, come by and check it out. It is just as tedious and uninspired as you would expect.

I'm over here—->Blood, Love & Rhetoric
I'm waiting on grad school responses (still–all y'all science people get flown around and wooed–I'm going for a Creative Writing MFA and the best I get is an occasional form e-mail). I'm paranoid that all my grad schools will read my blog and reject me based on that, but they can't say no to all of us, right?
Also I'm in books. They look like this.

@LA Fields I have the same fear about grad school, and a tenured prof. told me that he enjoyed my tea party stuff on my blog.

Hi! I blog occasionally at msdoubt.wordpress.com – that is VERY occasionally. Like maybe once per month style. I was very intrigued today by this link: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/03/100301165604.htm that was mentioned in the Skepchick quickies today

in the absence of interesting stuff here you could always visit my utterly boring grey site (grey on grey with grey trim) which has lots of words (many of them quite long and unusual, if rather uninteresting) and even some pictorial stuff.
but you probably won'thttp://howlandbolton.com/

Did so! Bookmarked too, I think I'm going to enjoy your humour. Not unlike mine if I was writing about myself and my life, which I'm not and won't. In person, I am almost equally self-deprecating; on my blog, I deprecate a bunch of other people instead.
"utterly boring grey site (grey on grey with grey trim)"
Well, Richard, mine is even more boring because I don't do pictures or graphics, so neener neener. My choice of WordPress theme is very deliberate; but that its name is Grey Matter is, of course, a complete coincidence.

I’m at work and you tube is blocked. So can you pretend I put a link to that Rick Astley video disguised as a link to something really interesting and relevant, and that you clicked said link.
I've heard that they are best barbecued but there is nothing you can do to make them not taste like gamey fish.
While we are at it, here's my glorious blog: ChaoSkeptic, about Discordianism, skepticism, and where they occasionally meet.

I had turtle soup once at the Taste of Chicago. Yummy.
I pulled out my MCAT study guide for the first time in a year yesterday. I set in on my desk and just…looked…at the cover for a good five minutes. Quiet freak out.
I blog at biodork.wordpress.com! I post daily (almost), and every once in a great while I even say something smrt!

Shameless self-promotion: Visit my blog.
And now, a joke: Two muffins were in an oven. One muffin says to the other one, "Man, it's hot in here." The other muffin says, "Oh my god! A talking muffin!"
I'll be here all week. Try the veal.

Well, given that my blog has already been posted by Jen after my guest article, I guess I'm hard-up for original shite.
Still, I'm a lurker enough to be finally pushed into posting. Look upon my works ye mighty, and despair.

@Richard Howland-Bolton
Yeah, that's a weird situation and a craptastic law. I think dude was a jerk to do what he did (its on par with the bozos who leave bible scripture in the GLBT section of my bookstore), but he didn't trespass on private property. From another POV, though, at what point does that pamphleting become harrassment? But STILL, can't they just kick him off the premises and be done with it? If he serves jail time for this, that's foked up.

"In a multicultural society, none of us should have the legal right not to be offended."
Indeed, and not least because, unlike with bodily injury, it is not possible to give someone a medical exam and determine how offended he is and thus what any criminal damages or compensation must be. At the same time, there doesn't seem to be much recognition of the fact that being desperately offended and traumatised by blasphemy is a choice, not an autonomous and irresistible biological response. Such laws are a gift to narcissists and attention-seekers, who can get their fifteen minutes of fame by putting on a big offended performance, one at which no one gets to throw rotten tomatoes.

@Veritas – I started watching after TAM7. Bill Prady was the keynote speaker and he got me into his show. I have been playing catch up since then.
