Agreed. And thank you. I took these photos right after seeing your post, I really couldn’t resist. The timing was nice too, with the late afternoon light gently illuminating the flower but not the leaves or anything else in the background.

Thank you, voyager! With flowers in my garden it’s easier, they don’t run away so I can wait for the “right” time of the day when sunlight is best in that particular corner. In this case I was lucky, I couldn’t have waited anyway. Today when I woke up the other bud you can see in the photos was all open and covering the withered one.

It looks like wrought precious metal art. This and the Birth as companion pieces in gold, lovely (though I’m not a fan of gold but it would suit a palace).
