I was thinking start of a planetary map for the first one or patterns of flow in two different fluids. Then for tehsecond one, I don’t know -- not a map anyhow.
Looking forward to the trees taking form here.

All this talk of creepy walking trees and willows makes me think of Uprooted. But that book had a happy ending…
rq, but you can’t see the trees as evil in Uprooted, not once you know what happened.

Exactly, it has a happy ending. But getting to that point, the Woods in that book are already a whole, vast character all their own and because you don’t know the background, you’re left with a lot of creepiness and trees that are alive. This work is also not so creepy, it’s quite lovely and lively, but there seems to be a theme of living trees lately. :D On a spectrum of creepiness. :D
To me, trees are alive, in more than just the ‘yeah, a plant’ sense. They dance with the wind, they commune with water and sun, the speak through their leaves, they watch, they keep memory. That said, yes, some trees are damn scary, gotta watch your step.

The trees will see us and once the fungi they’re partnering with will have us. In the meantime, dance.

Trees? Dragons mating, surely?

That’s the title. I’m not responsible for what you see. ;)

Dancing trees.
Caine says
Chigau, yes. :D
Anne, Cranky Cat Lady says
Even their roots are dancing.
Caine says
Gotta shake those roots! :D
