Slowly. The colours will never come quite true with flash, but I don’t want to haul it outside until it’s done. As you can see, my assistant checked the brushes first thing. Click for full size.
Even chewed- & peed-on brushes don’t work against horses (albeit a forty foot rat will slow them down a bit (it takes time to gallop around one)). Flamethrowers. You need flamethrowers for the horses.
Chigau, Vala is black, that would be a bit difficult.

Vala is black
Even after going for a swim in yer paints?
In any case, horses aren’t notably day-glo prior to ignition†, so some additional creative interpretation doesn’t seem like a problem. For instance, the rat will probably not be painted to its true forty-foot scale.
† Safety Tip: Point the nozzle of the flamethrower at the horse and away from both yourself and the fuel tanks before pulling the lever. Have marshmallows at the ready.

Chigau:
Nice! Thanks. I’m always picking up odd little dishes at thrift stores for paint dishes.

Who’s a good assistant!?
Caine says
Vala is, of course. She’s very good. :D

What a fine and excellent assistant. ♥ The painting is coming along beautifully as well.
Caine says
Yes, Vala is an excellent assistant. Thanks!

Interesting to see where this is going with the purple and pink. The colours bring flowers into my mind.
It seems the brushes were checked with a nose, eyes, whiskers and four hands by the assistant.

As much as I’d like to see a BRIGHTly coloured face …
could you manage a Vala coloured face?
maybe with mica?

She only gets paint on her hands, like me. The paint water doesn’t colour you. :D
