Used to have toads regularly at my place but development and expansion of a nearby quarry have destroyed almost all the water sources they needed. Miss them.
In Finnish they are called rupikonna, which means directly translated scab toad. The word konna also has another meaning, a (human) villain (in literature) or a criminal (colloquially).
