Somebody’s really enjoying themselves and putting their double fur (right?) in full use. I’m wondering if rolling in the snow will clean the fur.

Cachet so cute! And awfully similar, ours has white patches in the same areas but smaller.

Yup, she’s certainly grown! Though we’re starting to think the name ‘Ronja’ was entirely too appropriate…

Is double fur what you call it? It’s more like a thick wool undercoat, she didn’t feel the minuses (judging from her attitude), and they were quite low!

    Woolybeast dogs! Love.

Our old girl is a bit too stiff and creaky to frolic in the snow much any more, but she was still delighted yesterday to simply lie in it, nap, and occasionally wake up to announce that there might be movement in them thar patch of trees behind the house. The puppy, on the other hand-- first snow is an absolute delight. He was hilarious, super excited to find his Kong that somebody buried beneath all that weird and wonderful fluff, so excited in fact that he promptly tossed it in the air and lost it all over again. Eight times.

Double coat is the term for what I meant. That is, both woolly undercoat and coarse topcoat.
