Back in the mid-90s, I actually had a couple of pleasant conversations with Scott Adams via email. I don’t know if he was less of an asshat back then, or just hid it a whole lot better.

Didn’t he have a stroke or something of that nature some years back? While not an excuse for recent behavior (plenty of people don’t suddenly become racist due to a stroke), I do know that depending on the nature of the stroke and where it hits, it can massively alter a person’s personality along with other effects….
I never heard of Adams having a stroke. Are you sure you’re not thinking of Dawkins?

Given how frequently parody is now litigated, make Adams stand before the court and proclaim proudly, “Your honor, this is obviously about me, for indeed, I have a small penis!”.

Adams regardless of what copyright law might say, especially now when Adams himself has turned into a cartoon villain.

Every once in a while I try the New Yorker crossword caption contest, and realize that being a great cartoonist really is a quirky, amazing gift. This is just more proof. I couldn’t come up with it in 1000 years, and yet it is just chef’s kiss.

@epawtows – while I always appreciate a good dog reference and REALLY appreciate a great Babylon 5 reference, the actor who played Garibaldi was himself a noted rw asshole, so maybe not great evidence of a less ahole-ish past.
I heard Adams speak at a corporate function, once – this would have been at about the same time – and he was benign, but otoh he was singing for his supper.
