Title: Police beat and detain several women after a protest against the abortion law.
0:03: Twenty minutes after the demonstration against the abortion law reform finished without incident, riot police identify the last demonstrators that stayed behind chatting in Jacinto Benavente Square.
3:24: [riot police] You like that, hero?
3:47: Riot police lower the visors of their helmets after attacking two reporters.
So frightening watching the brutality of the Spanish police, at what was a peaceful Abortion demonstration. I hope they get their comeuppance, now that the video has gone viral.
The Roman Catholic church was behind it all, when it called for demonstrations against relaxation of the Abortion law in 2009. Hundreds of thousands of people marched through the streets of Madrid. There was a Socialist government in power at the time. Undoubtedly, the Church had to be seen to be in charge, as per usual, with respect of women’s concerns.
Spain is the first country within the European Union to back-pedal after legalising abortion. Think Abortion Tourism. Just like Ireland exported ‘its problem’ to Britain.
#braveheroes, beating up women who weigh no maore than 120 pounds.

I am ashamed for Spain. Mariano Rajoy is determined to drag Spain back to the days of Franco. His majority government is steamrollering all sorts of laws through parliament that are taking away the civil rights that were mostly gained under the socialists. Needless to say that Rajoy is a staunch Catholic.

The Global Post has something to say on the video issue. A protester was apparently left bleeding and injured, according to its sources.
